Just one lonely-only. It pipped yesterday morning (when I awoke at 5), made no progress the entire day and none as I checked on it through the night. Then I woke at 4 to hear it peeping and found it floundering away.

It is kind of funny Laree - my daughter who lives in Phoenix cannot figure out how I have such a minute by minute detailed knowledge of the weather in Phoenix. I figure why spoil the fun and tell how I always know???

As of 2:45 pm today we have 1 Blue Andalusian egg that is pipped! No rocking or rolling from any of the eggs and than bam, that one has a good size crack in it.... most of our hatches run early so we'll see what we have out before New Years Day!

Here are a couple that I took earlier. All I had to do was call "Rooster, rooster." and I had them going. My nieghbor gave me a funny look when she saw me crowing.

My Sumatra Roo.

How the heck can you train them???? That just amazes me!!!

I didn't really train, at least not on purpose!

When I crow they crow back. Maybe they just love me.

My OEGB roo I've had for 5 years now. He crows whenever my car pulls up in drive way. I thinks he's saying "Welcome back, now give me some food!"

My chickens also all come when I call them. No matter where they are they come. I just stand outside and call "Chick. Chick. Chick..." in a high pitched voice and they come running to look for food and treats.

I love my chicken!

I just thought I'd proclaim my love for all to hear.

Just curious, but isn't the point to have them hatch after New Year's Day and not before.
