I bet y'all will pass up my guess of 5,003 posts before I get up in the morning to check on all the pips, zips, chirps, and cute little fuzzy butts. I have a cell phone picture of a couple of my boys crowing up a storm. I usually crow at the boys to get them to start crowing - love those big fellows. I'm not hatching along but it is sure fun reading along and joining in on all the fun. Do I have to be a GFM to enter the rooster crow contest? I will join you all back on here in the morning.sleep well all

Congrats to everyone that is getting some chickie action......I'm still on the edge of my seat watching and waiting, but unlike Bob, there is definately nose prints and smudges on my 'bator windows.

Hi!
I read about the New Year's hatch after the fact, but had already set a lot of eggs. My chicks tend to hatch early, even though I usually set eggs at night. Now my first chick is almost out of the egg! I am glad i put them in, because it gives me something to think about besides my sore right hand! I had carpal tunnel surgery on weds, and am feeling useless without the use of my primary hand! I think the one hatching out is a silkie, cute peep!

Well a big happy Birthday Back to you. Hopefully you will get some early chicks. I have nose prints on my bator too and wishing I had stocked up on extra flashlite batteries cause I know I'm gonna run mine dead looking for pips.
