Well I still like the egg swap idea and I like the chickenstock plan but I am focusing my brain cells on finishing my sewing projects by the end of next week before I think about planning anything more than bathroom breaks.
Hey Chickmagnet... where did your avatar rooster go? So handsome.
I HAVE TWO TURKEYS!!!!![]()
Who would have thought I would be driving home with two turkeys on the seat beside me and catch myself muttering, "she is actually kinda pretty." WHAT!? Anyone who asked me before today would know that I am not enthusiastic about turkeys. My son is. Well, Merry Christmas baby! We have a pair of Midget Whites now and they really aren't that bad. I have to keep them alive and get them to breed, but given all that, they aren't too bad so far and I already have a list of people wanting some! Amazing.
Ashandvine, and others too. I am in Monmouth and would love to help each other out. Sometimes I have crittter stuff that I really need another set of hands to accomplish, and I would be happy to go help out someone else
I am not real clever when it comes to putting construction type things together but in the end I get it done. I LOVE to re purpose stuff. Come spring I will be doing a pallet garden. My geese free range during the day and go into the barn at night with the rest of the flock of assorted ducks.
It would be fun to do a get together with peeps on the list. I would be willing to look for a no cost or low cost place for us to do something like a healthy potluck and figure out how we can help each other as a community as well as share information. I go to CMBF that meets,(or I will be going again now that I am a bit more mobile on the ankle) it is a great place for good information from some serious breeders, and folks who show, but most of the folks there are WAY beyond beginner level and don't really have the same kinds of needs that others of us (me) may have.
Anyone else up for a get together and if so what are your ideas?
