I think 3 of my bluegrass chicks may be frizzled! What do you think?

I've only got 13 now, a friend of mine came over and just HAD to have some...she got one of the tiny ones but the other 3 were big

racuda, I don't know if they are frizzles yet but they do look sorta that way around the tail. They are beauties tho, and look at how they carry themselves at such a young age. Quality sure tells doesn't it.

Have you sent photos to Jessie for her comments??

It's easier to see the frizzled characteristics of the 3 when they are all running around together with their hatchmates. I'll PM Jessie for her comments.

painfully cute! I think you may have frizzles there. At least 2. You will be sure in just a day or two more. If the wing feathers are curling out, and not laying flat, it's probably a frizzle. I have 2 frizzles from Jessi that I just love.

Here are some size comparison shots

Here some are next to a 'big, bad' button quail egg. If you don't know how big these eggs are, just take a look at your thumb fingernail, that's about big they are.

This pic is of the biggest serama and the smallest serama (hiding under the wing) with a 5-day old 'small' large fowl chick

Again with the 'small' large fowl chick

OMG! that's like an overload of fuzzy cuteness! I love those little fuzzballs!!

Funny you should mention the size of a button Quail egg. I've got 12 due on 11/3.

Awwww! It looks like you got three! And frizzled whites too!

Its kind of hard to see on the whites in the pics, because the feathers blend together, but I think I can see the curl in the middle one, not as sure about the last one, but give them a few more days! You should be able to tell for sure. And they are soooo super soft and neat to touch when they get in all those curled feathers! Congrats on your babies!!
