my OEGB also give a huge variety of color... from dark brown, to solid white... even speckled brown... i have my pet quality OEGB pen with different colored hens and i get a good mix... but with all of my friend's and mine eggs, they look just like your pic...

btw, there are some serama eggs in there... like five of them... only one hatched...

LOL... those are cortunix eggs...

btw, serama eggs and OEGB eggs are almost identical... some are the same exact size... the tiny white egg on the bottom is a bob white egg... the huge eggs in the top right corner are shamo... just to put stuff in perspective...

Jerry, I really appreciate it when you share your knowledge of Serama by making educational posts such as the picture of all the different colored chicks and now the different colored eggs.

So far my white on white matings have yielding 100% white chicks. Do you suppose they are recessive white? This one hatched a few hours ago:

It's hard to say. They could be either/or. Dominant white covers black in the single form so if you have any birds with black on them (preferably black and red since dominant white does not cover red in single form) you can 'test mate' with the whites and see how they turn out. If they are recessive the chicks shouldn't be white at all, if they are dominant any black on them would be 'hidden'.
