Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

I really didn't mean to make it that big.

I'm glad you did, the update deserves notice.

IMO Large and Bold is emphasis and not a shout. I type in caps all day long at work. A lot easier and quicker than shift - key use. When I first posted anything on the net got scolded for shouting, DH had to explain that one to me.

I never saw that. When she was out foraging so were they. It may have happened that there were times a chick or two were under her as she moved, I wasn't out with them much. The beauty of having a broody watch over them. But I had to coax her to bring them out of the barn when they are about 1.5 weeks old. BOSS is so helpful

Geez Lisa, you don't need to "yell".

So sorry to hear it LG, I know that story! Do you get them often enough to have Replax on hand? DD1 hits that when she gets an "on top" migraine over her permanent one. You have to be pretty fast with it though as soon as you realize what is happening. But she isn't supposed to take it more than twice a week.
No, I don't get them often enough, and they are more often than not fleeting and may only be visual or sensory, not pain. Sometimes, I'll loose vision in one "field" or even have the side of my face or an arm go numb. I get confused, like will sit and stare at a single typed word, trying to make sense of it. Mimics a stroke, and when I first started having them, I thought I was having TIA's or coming down with MS. Vision stuff looks like watching a flourescent Tetris game, or looking through from the back side of a colorful water fall, even with eyes closed. Then, there'll be a day like yesterday, when they just keep circling around and coming back to visit all day. Those days are accompanied with pain and nausea. Usually mine are light triggered.

As far as YELLING on the keyboard, I find that whole concept to be foolish, and childish. Since when is emphasizing something considered to be rude? Oh, yeah... now when everybody has to be so insanely PC that you can't voice an opinion without getting someone's knickers in a twist!

LG, that makes me dizzy just reading what you go through. I am really sorry you have those.

I know very little about migraines. I hear 'quiet', 'dark room', 'no movement', etc.

Wow, yours sounds a bit scary to me. I don't get a lot of visual disturbances, no aura to speak of. Often they just come on, definitely sensitive to light and sounds and often end up with the Vomitting. Have you tried supplementing with herbs and vitamins? I have found some things definitely help, like magnesium and Ashwagnda root. Having a migraine all day definitely is exhausting and of course no fun.

LG, I'm sorry you have a migraine. I've often wondered why those two little migraines were even allowed on the Ark in the first place! They started it!! If they'd been thrown off the Ark there'd be a whole lot of happy people! But , the Good Lord said "Two by two, and they sneaked right on. Stay calm, stay quiet, and get this one behind you! Hugs!

My goodness!! Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes. I was so surprised! For some drug-induced reason I changed my BYC password on my iPad and now I can't remember what I changed it to. I remember opening BYC on my iPad, then the password box came up and changing it seemed like a brilliant idea at the time. But aside from remembering the ambulance ride I'm lost. I even tried typing in Morphine to see if that was it..... Nope. Glad I didn't get industrious and change it on all my devices! When Ken brought the phone charger up today I was able to get it out of the red and check in here.

They did the stress test yesterday afternoon but the days are kinda blurring together at this point. I've had bilateral stents put into the arteries feeding my legs - the illiac and the one on the other side - 4 times now. These on Monday will be by the heart so that's new for me. As for waiting. I'm just now getting over a cold. They are on full infectious disease mode here around my room at the moment and they opted to wait to give me a few more days to recover from the cold. The way they explained It was that if they start the angio and find the blockages require more than ballooning and/or stents, then they want to know I will be able to tolerate anesthesia well. But it ain't gonna come to that - I've got faith!

I'm surprised that so many are wrapping their entire heating pads in Press n Seal - I'd worry about the adhesive being in direct contact with the heat for that long causing problems with residue. But hey, if it works , right? Can't remember who asked but the fuzzy side is cooler so I keep the side with the words toward the chicks and the fuzzy side up!

Okay, am I caught up? I'm feeling really good this afternoon - much more like my old self. I sure appreciate all of you! Now. if anyone sees a lost password running around without a home, let me know! It might be mine and it's easier typing on the iPad keyboard than it is in the iPhone! Later!!
