mantids as pets?

I have thought about keeping a praying mantis as a pet------we get a few back in our pasture every summer/fall. I just don't need any more indoor pets!

I had one for a pet when I was a kid. It was just one I caught outside one summer. She was HUGE!!! I fed her crickets and kept her for about a year, releasing her the following summer. They are really interesting creatures....and I don't like bugs!
