Marans (Cuckoo, BCM, Wheaten and more), Olive Eggers, Seramas, Midget Turkeys (post updated Apr 9)

I love the color ! And the box had a bit of a crunch at one corner but that wasn't even where the cracked egg was. Ah the mysteries of life huh ? lol Thats ok tho, my original 4 are fine and looking forward to this whole process.

Well i ended up having to leave out the cracked egg. Candled all of them and that one was more cracked than it originally appeared. Set them today about noonish and won't turn them for at least 24 hours and maybe 48. I used a Dewalt battery flashlight that my son gave me to candle the maran eggs and it worked pretty darn good. Looking forward to my next candling.

Day 16 of incubation and i candled all my eggs. 1 BCM and 1 OE were clear so i got rid of those. I have 1 OE egg that looks like it has a bit of liquid in it but the egg has development so i don't know whats going on with that one. Have a couple with saddle air cells so when i move to hatch box i will adjust for that. Am getting excited about my first BCMs !

I ordered and received Marans eggs from Cathy and couldn't be more pleased. She is a delight to deal with and communicates promptly and pointedly. Her eggs took three days to get to me thanks to the USPS taking them 250 miles north of me for a full days delay, but her packaging was great and all the eggs are in the incubator. The shipping box was crumpled on four of the eight corners with no damage to any of the eggs. She was wonderful to deal with! Kern
