You need some sweat pants that have the elastic around the bottom of the legs lol.
Ha, funny you should say that. I was looking for a pair of those this morning!
That spider is not one we have around here, he's not as pretty as our Garden Spiders. Those things can get huge. They also build a huge web, and they are pretty friendly as far as spiders go. I had one make a web in the corner of the deck, by the door. She really got excited when I would come back from the run, as she knew I'd have a meal worm for her. I'd toss it in her web, and she would suck them down like spaghetti! It was neat to watch. Either the wind got rid of her or a chook, but there are more in other locations. With all those mealworms, she got to be about the size of a quarter (bodywise), not the biggest one I've had, but very pretty....for a spider.
Here is a link to them. Mine are very vibrant black and yellow.

those are about the only spiders I can have any respect for. They get massive here....I can appreciate their beauty (in all their grotesqueness of course) because they are so beneficial to the garden. I actually get excited (from a distance) when I find them in the garden because they help me to eliminate pests...I need all the help I can get...year before last I had one that was just a monster and a half. He found a home in my amish paste tomatoes and had the best harvest of them ever when he was there.... some of those tomatoes verged on a pound apiece.
