ROTFL.....oh how I wish I had a video of that!!! I bet you almost had a heart attack. Your silkies probably thought you had gone mad!!!
I thought it was bad when, yesterday, I almost walked right into a huge orb weaver spider. SHe was hanging down from a silvery web string from an oak branch in the middle of the yard, right about eye level. I was walking back up to the house from feeding the chooks. I felt something on my face and iccckkkk it was this huge yellow and black spider. I ike spiders but not in my face, when I'm not expecting them LOL!

ugh!!! That has happened to me with a different kind of spider. What do I hate more than anything in this world? SPIDERS!!! Just reading that gave me the heeby geebys....so disgusting. That reminds me that its coming to that time of year when spiders and mice are going to start making their way into the buildings and try to get in the house. One slipped in the back door the other night....I about died it was about 3 1/2 inches across...and was partially transluscent and brown...it was DISGUSTING!

No not sick, just in some pretty good pain from my lower back. I think I might have a pinched nerve. Its pretty debilitating at the moment. I'm moving about as fast as a snail.

Just be glad we don't have Vinegaroons here! OMG! Those are the most hideous bugs I've ever had to deal with! They will attack you too if they feel you are too close. We had them when I lived in the high desert in CA. They have, what some people call, a "baby face". Ugliest darn baby I ever saw! And they stink like vinegar. They also get the size of a silver dollar, which makes it even worse! Ewwwwwwww, they make my skin crawl to this day.

My back has been killing me too lately. Feels better this morning, I think I jerked it back into place when I jumped from the mouse!

those sound awful!! I have never heard of them, but am kind of too scared to look them up on the internet! Not much bothers me, but spiders, rodents, and creepy big bugs just freak me out!

haha you are too funny! I'm glad you're back on the forum again!

Me too! I miss my PC when it goes down. I feel like such a simpleton, sitting in front of the monitor, knowing it doesn't work, but trying to "will" it on with my eyeballs!

Works much better now, although I still don't have it set just right yet.

Thanks for the nice comments and yes the Salmons are from Connie and yes Pink I have an idea of what your vision might be I love tradin'......let me post some more pics I am laughing sorry about that mouse.....a long time ago Mom and I were cleaning out the barn for a load of hay we both had mice run up in our jeans the screamin' contest was on and I don't remember who won the "take your jeans off the fastest" contest but it was a good thing we lived out in the country of course later we had many a good laugh but not that day it was so hot and not that easy to get those britches off.....to this day I'm leery of mice running around the barn when I'm moving hay....

if you get something goin in the blue salmons...you know who wants on your waiting list...and you don't even have any yet! haha...I really am a blue fiend. I need to see if I can get some pics of my birchens growing out for you. I am not sure when as my back as slowed me down to a crawl...but I have some that are coloring up really nicely...and yeah of course some that aren't coloring up perfectly, but have assets I can certainly use in improving the size of the line and come from darker egg stock...so I am hopeful I will have good progress this next spring.

That reminds me....I have 3 blue copper girls! I never would have guessed! I had a pullet slip into another pen earlier this year and didn't think too much of it..waited a bit to hatch from her, but obviously not long enough...but the other day...three of the girls I thought were just beautiful blues or waiting for the birchen to come in started coming in with copper. I am thrilled! One of them is the deepest shade of blue with a nice little body! They made me so happy to see them.
