Vicki~ Hope you feel better soon!

Debbi~ Congrats on your new monitor!

Lotsa~ I sit here wondering how you and I can work out a trade deal on some of your eggies from those Salmons when they are laying. Pink sees something happening in blue, don'tcha know.

Dawn ~ Love that Splash boy!!

Just when you think you are too tired, and you are not capable of moving any more, then something like this happens. Went to the "big town" yesterday for a Wally-World venture. I hate that store, would almost rather getting hit by a bus than to go in there, but there were things I needed that you can't get here in Podunk. Turned into a 4 hour trip, and by the time I got home, I was pooped. Went out to the run to check water and the Silkies, as they are not used to this screaming hot weather. Standing there, I felt something bump the back of my leg. Thinking it was a chicken, I turned around, nothing. There was a tall weed standing there so I thought that was probably what I felt. Got back into the house, and was getting ready to feed the dogs, when I felt it again. I reached down to the back of my thigh and felt a lump. ???? I knew I had put a paper towel in that back pocket, maybe it got down in there? I unbuttoned the pants and reached in to grab it, only to pull out a MOUSE!!!!!!!!!!

I don't even know where it ended up, as the arm was flailing, I was 3 feet in the air, and the. shall we say, primal screams were ripping! Now, my old female dog has unarsed the area, and my male is all excited and jumping up and down too, wondering what the hell is wrong with me!

It was quite a sight to behold, I'm sure. On the plus side, all the windows were closed due to the heat, so the neighbors never heard my screams; and even though they are about 1/8 of a mile away as the crow flies, believe me, they would've heard this scream!!

OMG, I can just imagine trying to explain that one to the Sheriff's deputy when he arrived for the wellness check!

ROTFL.....oh how I wish I had a video of that!!! I bet you almost had a heart attack. Your silkies probably thought you had gone mad!!!
I thought it was bad when, yesterday, I almost walked right into a huge orb weaver spider. SHe was hanging down from a silvery web string from an oak branch in the middle of the yard, right about eye level. I was walking back up to the house from feeding the chooks. I felt something on my face and iccckkkk it was this huge yellow and black spider. I ike spiders but not in my face, when I'm not expecting them LOL!

I wish I had a dime for every spider web I walk into here everyday! I don't know what these little guys are, but they can build a line of a web that is a really long stringer, from a weed to the pen or anything else. I always seem to walk into them, then feel like I'm peeling spider web off of me for the rest of the day. I love those Orb spiders, we call them garden spiders here. They eat lots of flies and skeeters.

OMGosh Debbi! I would have had a fit and rolled in it....you handled that way better than I ever could or would. If it had been a snake I definitely would have had a heart attack. EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya, if it had been a snake, I WOULD'VE had a heartattack! I will be weed whacking the run today! The mouse must've been mauled by the chooks before he found refuge in my pants, as it sure wasn't moving much...

Morning Vicki... are you feeling sickly?? I haven't caught up on all the posts yet. I like to get a good laugh in the morning too. Laughter truely is good medicine! If you had heard my friend laughing last night as I was telling her on the phone, we could've cured the world!!
