I love the nice crisp coloring on the wyandottes. What a bunch of little cuties!! Your splash roo sure turned out to be a big chunker. Is he as big as he looks?

Poncho.

I wish I would have gotten better pics of the Wyandottes....I will try again in a few days when they have settled into life here. They have really crisp patterning and wonderful type. I still can't believe they are mine!

And my splash boy...oh...he is every bit of the huge he looks. He's rivaling the size of some of my coronation Sussex boys I have growing out. By the way...those lavender silver Sussex are looking just gorgeous...the patterning is coming in so well! I thought about showing them in the spring if they are in feather, just to get them some exposure. We'll see how it goes then. And yes...I love Poncho too...he is gorgeous...

Aww...thanks Raven! I'm so happy!

On the birchens...i don't notice any difference in the hatch rates with them...I also use a Sportsman for all my incubating. I don't even want to count how many eggs I hatched of theirs this last spring.

Thanks for my beautiful cuckoo girls. Although I haven't had a chance to really get to know/ look at them very closley. Tomorrow I'm moving them to the "SEMI new" winter coop.
Today while working on it I stopped and looked around and it looked more disasterous then it did before I started

don't quit know what happened lol.

thanks Anna! I was so excited to even win 1st with one bird, so I was pretty much over the moon the entire weekend with all the good news. I think getting back into showing was confirmed as the right choice this weekend. I was so nervous I almost scratched all my entries the day before. I'm so glad I didn't!

What all did you end up with? Sorry I wasn't able to stay long

kids kids kids we spent more time @ the burger king play yard. GO figure! And some girl who was to big to be in the yard kept yelling and the kids and pushed my daughter down a slide. So me and her parents had a talk she was 13! And 2 feet over hieght limit. Anyways... it was nice to mkeet you and see your birds.

Haha...that's ok...you had your hands really full! I will go back to find my post that listed what I ended up placing and comment on it so you can find it easily...just a second.
And what the heck....glad you talked to that girls parents, that's ridiculous to be shoving little kids around and such at that age!

I do use a sportsman and I have to say how much I love it.....WELL I LOVE IT!!!! I just had to open it up and take out the hatching tray to retrieve el stupido who had crawled over the back of the tray and was stuck in the back by the vent holes...did I say el stupido? Must be a cockerel.

No offense meant to the male gender of anything other than chickens.
Anyway.... humidity dropped down to 31% and with in no time at all, I mean like seconds, I'm back up to 51%. Love this thing!

Meet El Stupido....whom I might add is now out in between the door and the front of the tray. I seriously need to make that lid for the hatching tray. Did I mention that this chick is doing great for being just over 3 hours old.
