My guys look just like yours, but the colors are off.
I am not familiar with the colors, I posted on the oriental tread, and I have Schmudde's book, but am still lost.
Hey Don if you are out there take a gander at this guy. This is that cockerel that you suggest I hang on to. He is definitely getting more color like you said he would. What do you make of the red in the hackles? I wish his ear coverts were the correct color.
His hackles in the sun...they are nice colored, but are looking pretty red toward the top and notice the nice red color coming in on the wing bow? I like that red on the wing....where it is suppose to be...but look at the next picture.
See how pretty red the hackles are turning in the front.
His saddles are looking good, sorry I couldn't get a better shot of them, but I had to hold him there with my other hand. This definitely wasn't a handsfree photo shoot.
I have handled this boy very little compared to all the other males around here. I'm surprized he was as patient as he was.
His eye color was very very dark and I thought they would not turn, but look at them today. Well they surely did change. I will see if I can find a picture of his eye color prior to change so you can see just how dark it was.

I use to keep my feed in plastic garbage cans. I kept them in a storage shed for two years.
Then I had rats chew a hole in my plywood flooring and then chew a hole in the plastic cans.
Now, the hole in the floor has been repaired and the cans are now METAL CANS.
I would think about replacing the platic cans with metal ones. They are twice the price of the plast ones, but you won't even have to worry about animals chewing through them.
OBTW, Squirrels will eat through the plastic cans too!
