I have FBC and BW Marans that started to lay at the end of October. I thought that by now their egg size would have got ton bigger but they are still laying pullet size eggs. (My bantam Cochins lay bigger eggs). Is this normal? When will they start to lay bigger eggs or did I just get a bad stock?

What are you feeding them? These gals need higher protein in their diets. With the pullets I have here, they all laid a big egg their very first go. One was so big, I bet she wished she'd had an epidural!

I usually get larges to start, and then some of them border on Jumbos. Even my Silkies lay a good sized egg, not at all what I would've thought they would lay.

If you are looking for crop-type land, look more towards the north-west or even north/north-east. Nice black dirt up there, not this clay crap and rocks like here!

i mostly want pasture land and a small amount for planting my own grains for personal use, not sale. I've been lookin all over the place to get a good idea of what is out there and what prices are, etc
