Hey Mel, just come out of hibernation?

They are cute! Love the blue color of the first 2.
I agree with Hens and Roos and I believe they are all cockerels. The Splash I believe is just slow to mature compared to the other 2.

Can you help me with the gender of these blue and splash marans? There are 3 splashes but I only got pictures of 2 because they look so much the same to me. They are 4 weeks old.

Chickenlisa~ Congrats on your hatch too! I use vet wrap for the legs when they are splayed. I will try to dig up the photo for you, but must admit that I love the idea of the cup that Donna suggested. Never tried it but will the next time I have a chick that has leg issues.

I think once I really win those little girls over, they will be like little shadows..until then, its hard to be patient.... I am gonna see if I can snatch up some of my little chicks to get update pics, but they are loving the sunny weather and are all over the place haha. I have what looks like 4 birchen cockerels with coloring coming in...nice and silver so far. One of them is on a light blue and is just lovely!

Totally off topic.... but I must get you a photo of my project Blue Laced Barnie girl, Stoo. She is turning out very nicely. Don't know if she is happy with me as she is currently living with the Marans...but me thinks she will get over it. She is only living there for a short time while, being a buddy as my youngest Blue Copper pullet gets acquainted and accepted into the clan. She is a good girl.

I think they are about 4+ months old. Can't remember and l would have to look it up to be certain and looking it up this morning is out of the question cuz I am lazy today.

and most of all because I can't find last years calendar.
