Marans Thread - breed discussion & pictures are welcome!

Okay, I am new to this thread, and am trying to understand and learn and was just looking at the Marans club website... how do you tell the difference between a copper roo and a wheaten roo.. their differences look subtle to me, but my eye is untrained...

The roos are slightly different. The Wheaten roos have a cinnamon triangle at the tip of their wings. The pullets look totally different.

Hi Ms. Donna!!!

Moved all my Marans pullet to one pen so I can start evaluations on who makes the cuts. I think it is going to be hard to pick. There are some really nice pullets in there. I think I have about 15 or so to pick from. Those are the ones that made it to POL

Might sell some of last years hens.
