Marans Thread - breed discussion & pictures are welcome!

Snowbird has it in his profile in one of his albums. I believe he also posted it on the Large Heritage Fowl thread.
Would you tell me how to find/view the albums? I clicked on the member name, looked around at the options, I don't see photo albums. I tried searching the Large Heritage Fowl thread using the exacts words on the toe punch chart, and the search turned up nothing. Then I tried the whole BYC site, still nothing. I don't know why it won't be found.

I just could NOT toe punch with the leather punch.... ours has a SOLID base and it looked like it would break toes if I used it. TILL I can get a better punch, I cut the webbing to make a notch. I liked that ok, but I need some thing sharper for sure. Suggestions? Siccors are never sharp on the ends and they seem too big too.

you can get surgical type ones and those are very sharp the whole way to the tip. I picked up a pair at a place that carried vet type supplies a long while back, still really sharp

This is not from experience, just throwing out some ideas. What about a utility knife or razor blade?

When toe punching or cutting the webbing, does anyone dip the utensil used in alcohol or boiling water for sterilization/infection prevention reasons?
