I am not sure what you are describing...do you have photos that you can post?

The "pips" are more of an inward dent, like the egg I got from you that I taped. Quite odd, and they were not there when I put them in the bator. They are quite evident it is a pip, but inward? I'll try to get a pic without opening the bator. Here are my colorful BCM chicks that hatched. "Easter" is the big one on the far right.

ahhhh!! more blues!

Ok, here is the best pic I could get of the dent pip. I had to use a flashlight on the egg, far right. Note the white spot that is the dent? The other egg looks just like this one, but it's at a bad angle for a pic.

I sees...regardless...they are cuuuute!! All of you guys are making me so excited for the hatch I have coming up this next weekend!

Well I sure hope you have a better hatch than me! Gees, I can't figure out what all I am doing wrong here. Can't blame shipped eggs this time.

Aww that's too bad...what kind of incubator do you have? I've never had too much luck with still airs...so I gave up on those and went to a sportsman and don't regret a second of it at all. Especially with a gravity feed bucket for the water...its a set it and forget it kind of deal. I will check the temps and humidity once a day just to make sure, but it is steady as a rock for me so far

I incubate in my plug n play, King Suro 20, then hatch out in my forced air Little Giant. I am here to constantly monitor the temps and humidity, so that's not it. I've tried the wet hatch, the dry hatch, the in the middle hatch. This time I went with 38%- 40% for the first 18 days, then bumped it up to 65%-70% for lockdown. I have noticed that they do hatch faster and much easier with the humidity being around 70%. The norm here is a slow and staggered hatch trickling out over about 4 days. It's so aggravating!

I'm either just going to break down and buy a new Sportsman or throw in the darn towel! For all the money I've spent on eggs in the last year, I could've easily bought three proven trios of grown birds!

I hear ya on that...I've felt that way several times when I had tried eggs from people before the set up I have now. Downright depressing. hopefully you will be able to find a great deal on a sportsman!

Debbi... the trios could die in shipment and you don't know what color eggs they hatched from.... THERE... do you feel better???
