BIG STORMS last night!
No damage that I can see this morning, but it was a long night for sure. Power went out for 3 1/2 hours. Of course it did, I have eggs in the bator!!
Hopefully, it won't be a problem, the temps in the bator only got down to 83 and I had closed the vent so the humidity would hold. Humidity actually rose to 50%, so keep your fingers crossed for me. They say Silkie eggs are very sensitive, I sure hope this didn't do them in.
More thundering coming in later.
Pink ~ I so know how you feel!! You weren't wearing red or orange, were you? I have a leaf rake I leave by the gate, you know, the springy kind, not the rock rake type. I just put it in front of me in the mornings when letting them out, just in case anyone gets froggy. I have two I have to watch, Pip of course, and Blue Butt. BB is still limping so he's not so quick these days, but Pip is! I wonder if it has anything to do with radioactive fallout from Japan?? All these roos going crazy? Even the two Bill boys here are fighting, and I can almost bet when Myron gets a tad older, he will try my patience too. My two dark boys still can't be in the same vicinity, so one gets to free range one or two days, while the other stays in the run. Then change them out the next day...can you say, PIA???
I've yet to have one of the roos really get me yet, for being so old and crippled, I guess I'm still pretty quick when it comes to saving my old hide!
