I hope so! Man, have you noticed how soon it is getting dark lately?? Don't know why I am surprised, it does happen every year, duh... Temps are supposed to ramp back up here this next week, then drop again. Sure hope we have an actual Fall season here this year, it's been awhile since we've had Fall colors!

Evening

, have been watching the daylight go sooner every night, catapillers seem very fuzzy, the chickens sure like the cooler weather!

Just had someone come and pick up 3 roosters, so a little more room!

No one needs to fear me...unless you threaten me or mine, then all bets are off! It's just the way it is out here. Sheriff's are 30 miles out. Highway Patrol is 60 miles out in one direction, and 35 miles out in the other. Unless they are patroling nearby, you are pretty much on your own. Like they say: "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away!" Make that about 1/2 an hour here. Law enforcement out here really appreciates responsible gun owners!

the babies are doing good, in fact I need to switch out their light to a smaller bulb. They are getting some wing feathers in, so we now wait to see how the grow

yay for babies being healthy! I'm starting to feel much better that I decided not to do any fall hatching. So much to do here....its pretty much on my mind nonstop these days.
