Wait a minute, since I'm near sighted, if I stand looking into the incubator, it will correct my sight & I will then have 20-20 vision? LOL

edited to say that after I re-read this post I think that it may have come off the wrong way and if I did....that certainly was not my intent...it was seriously just meant to be funny...no offense to you Sue at all. Just thought your post was funny as get out! Still has me giggling!

Pink, neither one of your ladies has laid an egg yet. They are 24 weeks old.

Any idea when your stock typically starts laying? I am getting afraid now that the days are getting shorter that they might hold out even longer on me

Sorry Math, couldn't help myself!

Any chance she injured her eye or eyes?? Like Kim said, maybe just the luck of the draw for her, I had a farsighted calf once.

Patience my friend! They will start even if the light is changing. Maybe it has to do with the heat that you have verses the mild weather I have...or maybe they are just being scragglers. They will start I promise...they can't hold 'em all in forever...talk about uncomfortable.

Mine typically start laying around 20 weeks spot on, but I have had some that make me want to pull my hair out waiting. It shouldn't be too much longer.

Soon I hope....working on possible meet up plans with Zanna since I am going to be working in Portland Oregon for a while and she lives about an hour south of there. Will be posting him AS SOON AS I GET HIM HOME...believe me! I can't wait to see him either. She has 2 of them and I am thinking that maybe I should get both of them from her, but one is just waaayyyyy nicer than the other. *insert biting nails smiley here*

I've inspected the beaks - - no deformities.
They are the same size as the other birds from the same hatch.
They are 17 weeks old and active.

They come to me for treats, but don't seem to be able to find the bread once it hits the ground.
I have two birds with issues. Dh tossed a piece of bread about the size of a quarter on the ground and she was missing it. Her aim is to low by about an inch.
