Anywho....I believe you can see some Blue Birchens on the Marans Clubs websites and I think I remember seeing them on Feathersite. You could also look at Bev's website, I'm not sure if she has updated that section of her site yet and posted any, but its worth trying.

Gilavina has some pretty girls too.

I've got worms!
lol.png

I just started a worm bin a couple of months ago....I LOVE IT! (I want to breed & sell red wigglers and their castings, someday...working out plans) All of my plants get top dressed with worm castings. (I'm also addicted to house plants as I am blue chickens and dark eggs.
smile.png
) I put my avocado seedling (sp?) directly into the largest flower pot I could find laying around in nothing but castings and it has gone out of control just sitting in full light by my french doors in the dining area. I started a bin because it is pretty spendy to purchase in large quantities and we have to travel just over an hour to get them. Worm castings are the SH-TUFF!!!!! Try making a worm casting tea for your house plants. They will love you forever!

Yummy....Fresh hard boiled Marans eggs for lunch soon as they cool off.

I am going to set up bat houses as well. The university in Gainesville FL had a community bat house that got so huge it collapsed so they built a few more. We have lots of insect eating bats around here. I saw some plans online to make your own bat houses.

Okay here goes with the is it brown or is it olive egg. This is from a girl with two doses of Marans and one dose of Ameraucana but she has a pea comb.

Looks kinda brown here.
