Thanks! I was just trying to see more of the BC chick in the first photo. I still am left up in the air about this chick being a pullet....maybe it is just going to have a bigger comb.

That Cuckoo cockerel sure does have a nice reddish comb already doesn't he?

Wattles aren't developing on these two yet either whereas they sure are on the other 3 so I'm hopeful!! Should know pretty clearly within the next few days. They will be 3 weeks old on Sunday.

My marans don't free range but they are more orange than the others, even the Olive Eggers are darker.

All my girls lay an orange colored yolk, whether they are free range or not. Where is everyone this morning??

Morning Everyone!

This morning I've been enjoying a nice toasty warm house, hot coconut coffee and Christmas music and reading everything I can find on comb genetics..............

I never noticed the yolk, not gonna crack them open, when I can hatch them!
But all my free rangers have dark yolks.
