Bump--I didn't see any responses to this. It is hard in the heat to take multiple pics and time-consuming to post them...I would like to know if you all will take the time to evaluate my birds before I post pics. Please?

Sure we will take a look at them. Better get to posting sister.

I've been looking at Great Pyrenees. I've yet to see any that are already trained. Do tell.... The ones I find seem to be either in Texas, OR incredibly expensive, but so far.... never trained.

ETA: Wait a minute.... what happened to 3rivers post about LGDs being trained? it was like she told me that money was falling from the sky. No wonder it disappeared. too good to be true.

My wife is getting some Black Copper Marans, She is supposed to be getting chicks from two seperate blood lines,
Our question is what is the difference between the lines and what should she look for out of the offspring to continue the standards of each line?
The two lines she is acquiring are the Bev Davis line and the Wade Jeane line.
She is getting straight run so it is not a gaurentee she will get a pair of either but she hopes to get 2 pair one from each line.

Barb~ Tons of great hatching vibes coming to you and your broody. Day 16 here for my Birchen eggs too....we are hatching buddies. WahOOOOOT!

Vicki~ Same old, same old here....the waiting game. Waiting on the eggs in the 'bator and waiting on those baby goaties. Loosey still has her ligaments, but she is certainly slackening up. She is still carrying her tail pretty high. She is running around like normal out on pasture today. The other goats know something is going on....they won't keep their noses to themselves if you know what I mean.

Good hatching and birthing vibes being sent your way too!!!!

I'm curious to see how mine do. I have 8 eggs under a Blue Copper Marans. Day 16 here today. Her cluck changed as of yesterday and she is REALLY glued to the nest now. She certainly acts like something is going on!

I love when they get that.... "soon to be a momma hen" purr!

THat is good news. My hay supplier lost 5000 bales and the barn thanks to Irene. It meant a tough winter, short on hay , and horses got some pretty crappy hay for weeks on end. Really needed a good hay season this year. Hoping everyone gets in three cuts.

Glad you got the June hay in, !
Irene was a real B**tch on the hay, and roads, and corn, and houses and town budgets...., last year. So glad this hay season is been good so far!

Yes June hay smells sooooo good, now if I could just keep the chickens out of it. Buggers!
