Awesome! Welcome aboard! How great that you are letting your pullet give it a go! How old is she?

I hope she sticks with it! She's about 9 months old now.

You can't beat a good sitting hen worth their weight in gold!

I have a black OEGB aptly named Little who is my proven brooder. I'm counting on her to raise my hatchery chick order!

Sweet! I'm a hen hatcher myself...or my hen is the hatcher, I am the grandmom and beneficiary of the cuteness. 
Good luck to your pullet. It sounds like an ideal # of eggs for her first go round.

Just locked down (term used loosely since I'm a meddler) 10 lavender orps, 5 bantam cochins and 1 lone silver duckwing OEGB made it. One internal LO pip already, but development is all over the place! Never seen such a hatch. I doubt the Sdw will make it, and there are some questionables. This could be a long weekend....

Coming from someone who really understands (after my hatch experience in Feb and March) I surely hope and pray that your hatch goes ideally.
For me it was the hardest to have patience and not give up on the eggs. I can't wait to see how yours goes and what you get!

Just to be clear, are you talking about the electrolyte powder mixing into the water? It sure sounds like it but there was also disscussion about food.
I don't mind measuring at all. In fact I prefer to do it that way. There were just no instructions for doing that.
I also went by the color. To me, when mixed properly, it looks like the old "Tang" drinks we had as kids (my age is showing! I'm 53 yrs old). They got that complicated by pushing food into the water/electrolyte mix.
These birds are characters!

I know there's as much harm potential in giving too much as well as them needing it and not giving it enough. Since the color (whether from food or from strength of mix) was darker than I wanted, I just add plain water if there's any (clean) when I refresh the water. I do that many times per day...a well meaning excuse to look in on and pick up the little peeps.
I hope they're dry and camera ready this morning!

Can I use your 1/8 spoon measure with any electrolyte powder? And 1/8 goes into how much water?

No it does not.

As long as you can make it higher for days 18-21, they will probably be okay. Check your air cells. If they're getting big early, you will want to raise it. You can always throw in a clean, water saturated sponge to help raise it.

Oh, you're talking the orange stuff (I remember Tang, I'm almost 52! lol). I'll go back and edit my previous post, I was thinking the white powder (clear in the water). The orange stuff is 1/8 teaspoon to 10 ounces of water, but when I do about 3/4 full on the quart bottle, I toss 3 x 1/8 teaspoons in of both the white powder and the orange powder. One is electrolytes/vitamins, the other is probiotics. I can never remember which is which, I just remember by color! LOL

I measured the powders by weight, then weighed a 1/8 teaspoon full and divided the total to come up with these numbers. At least it hasn't killed my birds yet.

Nope, those aren't tufted either. I think of tufts like the big handlebar mustaches. Beards and muffs are more like just chubby cheeks. I'm sure there are some other tufted breeds, besides Araucanas, but they are the main one.
Polish and Silkies have other issues with the vaulted skulls though. Along with crested ducks, etc.
Then there is the lethal short-legged gene in Japanese bantams, and Seramas.... we could go all day on that subject! hahaha

1/8th teaspoon of powder to one cup of water

1 quart

a quart of water would be fairly diluted, but it would probably still be beneficial.
