They do seem to manage just fine without our help most of the time.

2 hatched late last night and 1 1/2 hatched this moring and have 3 more pippes.

The 1/2 hatched one, another chick knotted off part of the shell and it seem that it's head is stuck under its wing and seems sticky. It's been about 3 hours this way, should I assist and try clean it up?

still some more hatching, these in makeshift brooder with two 4 week old silkies. Silkies don't seem to mind the new company. They are all drinking and eating so far so good.
Maybe the silkies gave them a tour.

Just an update, I was so nervous because I never did an assist like this before. Not only was she stuck with her head under her wing she was shrink wrapped. I got her out and cleaned up, keeping fingers crossed that she makes it now.

Little sweetie! Might take her a little longer than normal to find her feet. Anyway to keep her separate from the other eggs?
