If anyone wants to know, I do have an update on the Buff eggs situation. I contacted the man I bought them from and he called me back about an hour later. I never suspected him of any wrong doing but he was super apologetic and wanted to send my money back. I told him it was fine and that it was never about the money, but he might want to check his rooster out. He explained that the Buffs came from his uncle’s farm and he didn’t know there was a problem obviously but he would let his uncle know. So to make things right he’s bringing me a dozen RIR eggs and a dozen black sex link eggs! These are coming from his farm and he hatches them regularly to sell. A real stand up kinda guy in my opinion. I wanted to get that story out anyways so none you thought we had a rogue chicken man running around down here! So, at this point, we’ll take the lemons and make lemonade!

Soooo the brahma were entirely infertile. He's gonna replace those eggs next time we can go up down there. But babiessss

Sadly one of our wonderful batch of healthy 8 chicks turned up dead this morning So now it's 7 who have made it to day 4 post hatch. I know it's super normal but I'm still sad. My teenaged daughter and I agreed that it's easier that it was one of the chicks who were difficult to tell apart so we hadn't named it. The last two that we struggled so hard to help out of their shrink wrap are going strong.

15 Bresse eggs went into lockdown today! I can't wait to see how this set of eggs does in the hatcher. So far they have surpassed any other shipped eggs I have had!

Did a quick candle on the quail eggs and removed a few clears (3 I believe).

May I ask where you ordered them from? We are wanting to start an American Bresse flock this year and looking for reputable sellers with high hatch rates, thanks!

Thanks! One of them is from my own birds! I have one more polish baby due tonight/tomorrow from my own stock. I love their little 90s bumpit hair dos. 90% sure the dark one is a female since my pairing atm is a sex link combo

I have always wanted to try a couple of polish in my flock, but I was afraid the larger hens would be too aggressive with them. Someday I will give in.
