My silkie eggs arrived today. I got eight eggs, reasonably well packed but a little bit dirty. I've gotten their surface relatively cleaned up and now they're getting a little rest before setting.

And I'm crossing my fingers I don't have one! LOL I want my silkies to keep laying but if one goes broody they ALL go broody!

It’s day 6 for my call duck eggs. Just candled and took pictures. Looking good. 8/9 are developing! Only 20 days to go!
Number 7 is the clear. I tossed it today.

They look great! And yes, 20 days is an eternity when you are waiting for eggs to hatch!

I'm in! I started 17 eggs yesterday. 12 shipped mixed breeds and 5 local Leghorns. Hatch date is 3/4.

The shipped eggs were picked up from my PO almost exactly 48 hours after shipping. Just 72 hours, or less, after being laid. I have high hopes for a great hatch from them.

What if 3/4 hatch? I hope/think more will though.
