We locked down last night. Their little feet were kicking during candling Can't wait.

I’m in day 18 and in lockdown for my 6. If I could I would take the rest of the week off work just to sit and watch them. First time hatching for me and I’m as excited as a kid on Christmas morning

I am going to buy 2 chicks (delawares) from a lady in the next town who just hatched. so my lone chick will have friends. Just 2, incase I go to N40, then I can get other breeds.

I renamed chick Cricket. This is the chick in his box. I put cloth/placemat down for flooring, and stuffed crow, and a mirror.

Woke up to this - they did all the work while I tried to catch some Zzzzzs.

That's ten successful hatchings so far, an 11th that's externally pipped, and #12 was a quit. Thus ends my March hatchings. Will start again soon for April, likely tomorrow after things are clean and sanitized.

Still debating between another thing of chickens, or doing a hatching of ducks.

I woke up to 7 more chicks hatched. Most look like Wyandotte or possibly mixed. Also found 1 possible pure lavender Orpington.

I am in lockdown as well. I’ve no idea if anyone is in there. THIS IS THE LAST time I incubate blue eggs. Jeesh. Hopefully I will get at least two. I love everyone else’s fluffies!

I have 8 eggs from my flock that made it to lockdown yesterday. I have 11 pita pinta eggs that will be in lockdown tomorrow night.

Made it to my very first lockdown! I’m hoping for the best. Someone asked me what if all 22 eggs hatch? I call that a great success!
