Thank you! You'd think taking photos of chicks in a box would be easy, it really isn't lol!
Up to five now, hatch day is tomorrow but I think they disagree.

Chicks can be hard take pictures of . Every time I try to take a photo in the brooder one stops to take a poop. I just posted a few that I took today in the picture forum. I didn’t want to take too much space on here.

That was the hard part. I carried them outside in the box and as I was putting them in the basket I kinda wrapped my arm around the basket blocking them.

Note the chicks coming out of the basket. Lol

I tried using this little prop but it got pooped on right away so I just went to the next thing.

Aaahwwww! So cute!

We’re counting 28 here now, one is zipping and one was alive in the shell this morning, but no pip yet. 30 would be a good number. 6 of them didn’t make it. Wrong pips or just DIS for whtever reason. But 29/30 out of 36 isn’t a bad number i think. Only one of our own eggs didn’t make it, it pipped to low and drowned.

We are up to seven here, one more egg it is live I tapped it. One did not make it, there was a pip but there was alot of loose yolk and it passed.
So far though seven healthy babies out of nine eggs.

Last one is out so we have eight out of nine 90% in a LG still air incubator not too shabby!

I have this batch currently in my LG still air one with the turner, and this hatch is already coming along better than the ones that were in my Farm Innovator's one that I used for my last hatch that I only got 1 lonely chick from.
