@SA Farm what do you have there in that pretty colorful dozen?
@cppeace Breese!!!! I have a breeder nearby that is working on them. She's not selling any yet prob for a couple years until shes sure about them but looking forward to seeing your.
I also have a swedish flower in my bator. I had a beautiful swedish flower chick I raised but he turned out to be a HE so I gave him to this breeder friend and shes the one I just got my hatching eggs from. So I have one swedish flower egg in my incubator now and she pulled it from her sno leopard pen so we'll see. I only have a mini brinsea so only 7 set. Ill try to post a pic.

So I have two maran eggs. I think they are wheaten maran but not sure. Two olive eggers (CCL over maran) and maybe two CCL. Not sure but the eggs are a pretty blue color. And one SFH from her sno leopard pen. (Pinkish egg). I just set them Sunday but so excited for my first time trying to hatch.

The blue are my Ameraucana eggs which will hatch out EEs, the two green are from my mixed duck hens, the two whites from my Pekins, and the four speckled are out of my BR turkey hen.

Yep, some white Breese for my meat project. If I can actually hatch several and they turn out looking pretty good, I will be able to simplify and adjust my future breeding plans. The rooster also has to be a gentleman. I don't put up with jerk roosters.

Is that an EX version? Then we have an exactly the same incubator that I’m using for the Other hatch along. Awesome gadget! Last time I hatched in July I got 6 out 6 all pullets, the 7th egg was not fertile.

Hello y’all!! New Hatcher here!! Incubator is almost all ready should be by tonight boyfriend is making me a coolerbator and it’s turning out great!! One question ventilation holes where should I place and how many? It’s a larger cooler I’d say medium to large.. I’ve read two at top and two at the bottom? I am ordering eggs 20 Barred Rocks from Meyers on the first they will be shipped out the 5th..if I was to set the eggs on Sunday March 10th sometime morning or early afternoon I would expect hatch the 31rst correct? I know it can happen before after etc due to different circumstances but the general rule would be the 31rst correct? And lockdown would be what the 28th or 29th? Just want to be positive on dates as the 31rst is my 41rst BDay and watching chix hatch be a fun way to spend it lol!! I’m very excited been reading and researching watching videos etc!! I’m sure I’m gonna have TONS of questions,concerns,and freak outs haha!! Also I’d love if someone would want to kinda partner up(take me under their wing) and set eggs same time as I and just someone (or more than one)to keep in contact and help this new Hatcher out!!! On a funny note my boyfriend is terrified he’s created a monster . He’s a little worried about me being able to “create” birds

Personally, I have a homemade one from a styrofoam ice chest I have one adjustable one on top that can be closed or as big as 2 inches by 3 inches, on the top, and one lower one on the right side that is about 1 inch by 2 inches and a couple ink pen size holes poked on the front. They get good ventilation and temp and humidity stay fine once I get them balanced.
