Got the rest of my shipped eggs today. They were packed insanely well and still got a slightly cracked egg lol Of them I got 6 Swedish Flower Hen Eggs, 11 good White Breese, two Mosiacs, 2 Brakels, 1 Blue Birchen Maran, and 1 Barbezieux.
Hopefully, I can get 4 -7 Breese to hatch. Would be happy with 2-4 SFH and the rest if just if it hatches it hatches lol
They will be going in the incubator tomorrow morning. The ones in the incubator are on day 5 currently. I'm more hoping the Breese hatch than anything else so won't be pushing the humidity up too high for "lockdown" for the first group. Probably push for 55% and hope for the best.

Well, February is almost over, so any eggs put in the incubator now will hatch in March. Given that information, as well as the realization that no one has made one yet, I decided to start the hatch-a-long thread. I'm probably not the right one to do it, but who can say who the "right" one is.

As for me, I set eighteen eggs in the incubator yesterday. There are seven sultan eggs, seven mille fleur d'uccle eggs, and four ayam cemani cross eggs. They are set to hatch around the 15th of March.

I have 21 serama due to hatch on the 11th. Crazy excited to see what we get and the colors...

Argh! How cold is too cold? Would it be unreasonable to add heat sinks? Am I worrying too much?

Cold is always better than too hot but inconsistent temps will kill in either case; try to get it to stay 99-101 for best chance at hatching. Do whatever you need to to get it up but little at a time. Doesn't take long at 104 to kill them at all.

The issue is that my two probes are telling me wildly different temperatures despite both being checked for accuracy. They are both in nearly the same spot in the incubator so I don’t think there’s a cold spot or anything like that. I was getting consistent temps and readings up until Tuesday.

Maybe it’s just a crappy incubator. I am too newbie at this to troubleshoot very well. They all may be dead anyway since I woke up to 104F temp on Wednesday and no idea for how long.

Don't give up yet. Eggs can be tougher than we think. Forced air or still air? How's the room the incubator is in? And drafts near it? Sun on it?

My house is cold but the room it’s in is about 60F. No sunlight or drafts. I have the bator wrapped in a blanket except space for the vent. It’s forced air.

As long as the room doesn't swing drastically in temps, it should balance out. How did you calibrate the thermostats?
