I’m not exactly sure where the lab is located. It doesn’t say on the website I don’t think. I’ll check. But I think they are closed today anyway
But, her lab isn't open today. :(
If he is still eating and bright eyed, I see no reason to euthanize him today.

Yeah that’s true but idk. I just feel really bad because he is really struggling to move around and it’s so sad watching him. :(

I just feel really bad for him and don’t want to extend his suffering.

But then I don’t know if he’s even suffering or not.

If you do this, Kelsey, and wait until the lab is open, I hope you'll be giving him some vitamins. If you have them, I would go with some actual poultry vitamins, not nutri-drench.
Okay, thank you. I don’t think I have any actual vitamins. :( although I thought NutriDrench had vitamins in it? Maybe not that many? I’ve read that others have more but I don’t think I have those. :( I could go buy some though

I know. :hugs

If the lab is open tomorrow, and close enough to drive to, take him there tomorrow.

I don't think he's suffering yet, but he soon he will.

Yes they all came from Meyer Hatchery as baby chicks. The eggs also came from Meyer. But we also have tons of wild birds and turkeys here as we live in a pretty wooded area so they could have picked it up at any time over the last 5 years.

These current chicks didn’t move outside until 8 weeks old but I’m sure there was cross contamination.

The original ones were inside for 3 weeks and then outside during the day and inside at night for another 4. Last years batch was outside at a week old in the main coop.

I did also give some cockerels to someone a few weeks ago but we met elsewhere where no chickens have been and hand sanitized our hands. I also gave them the container they were in so brought nothing back.
You should notify the person you gave the cockerels to that they may be Mareks carriers.
