Margo is in Trouble

Pics
She ignored watermelon. Ignored dampened feed. I have rice hulls mixed in their run, so she may have gotten itty bitty bits of rice. She ate an egg in the morning.

Maybe worrying that she won’t make it through the night is extreme. She looks ok on her roost except that weird stance... she won’t sit down.

Does her belly feel bloated?

Kind of reminds me of my girls when they've got a soft/shellless egg. They have looked droopy and absolutely miserable, fearful big eyes, they stand, sometimes with tail pumping compulsively. Then I find the other girls eating a shell-less egg on the ground, and a regular egg just sits on the ground not far away - apparently the normal egg coming behind it pushes it out, and comes out unexpectedly, so they don't go to the nest. By 30 mins after the 2 eggs appear, the girl starts perking up. However, this summer one girl was not able to get the soft egg out - vet X-rayed her - it was stuck high up and now she has EYP.

Now I have not seen a blue comb or greenish poop in those cases, although the latest EYP girl did have some greenish poop at one point, and my previous EYP girl got the very bright green poop near the end. You know they say the greenish poop is largely bile, that the chicken is not digesting food?

Same thing that all ball states happens to my red sex link. You would think my hen is on the outs at the time. When I see this, I do calcium therapy for a couple of days ( per azygous’ counsel). I’ve learned it seems like this particular hen needs more calcium, or she’s not good at eating free range oyster shell. Comb color may be something else. Lots of posts about comb color changes being hormonal.

Last Margo post of the night. She’s standing back up with her head dropped way down. Any ideas what causes this stance? Something about sitting down is uncomfortable for her, I think.

I have seen a few of my chickens roost with their heads hanging low like that, just because I tend to spend time in their coop after they go to bed. I hope she is better tomorrow. To me her droppings that were pictured looked like a chicken who has not been eating normally—green with white urates which can be from dehydration. The white streaks do not look like worms, and I did not see anything that resembled worms.
