fowllover - Interesting. I'd love to see a picture. Thanks! Sorry about your stink bomb. Yuck! Did you have any warning?
I hope I don't have one! Yay on your eggs with the spike! So glad they seem to be alright. Yes, I have to see movement, too, or I don't know what to look for. I'm sure your lockdown will go well - keep us updated! So exciting!
nsampsel - Congratulations on your eggs!
I've never had a Silkie, but I'd like to have one just for fun. Let us know how your hatches go!
GoinQuackrrs - Thank you! Tonight is day 24, so I'll check for internal pips tonight. When do you raise humidity? As soon as you see an internal pip? Just the last 2 days? Or whenever you lock down?
Also, do any of you lower temp for the hatch? If you do, when do you start that?
diamond88 - Congratulations!!! She is absolutely adorable!
Ilovemyduckies - I hope all your eggs are actually still alive.
And if your broody wants to join in, she can - it's still May after all.
ducklover700 - I will definitely post pictures when they arrive! I'm so excited to see what colors hatch out! I know - it's been a long wait!
Congratulations on your mom's chicks! Tell me if a Muscovy hatches!
WillsC - Congratulations on your Muscovy ducklings!!!
In checking air cells last night, I looked at one of my eggs that has movement, but it's
much smaller than many of the others - lots of space left in there. What does that mean? Do you sometimes just get a tiny duckling? Or will it not make it? In that egg there is at least one little dark spot under the shell that's been there for a while (but wasn't there right at the beginning) that I think might be bacteria, but I don't know how to tell.
