Is anybody using there tractors this time of year. I just finished mine and am concerned about the heat under the tarp since that will be the only shade they have. Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A tarp is all that provides shade in my run as well. I have a fan in there and I put out frozen bottles. They barely pant, but they do pant at times...however, it provides enough for me. I'm in New Orleans.
Hard to believe but I finally got my tractor up and running. I put my young Delaware roosters in it yesterday. I mad it 2 feet tall and should have made it taller. There heads are about to hit the top wire.

Mine is 8' by 12' and I ordered the corners and ect. from Greenhouse and I had the pipe so I'm thinking everything included was a minumum of $150.00

Could you please make a BYC page out of this? I REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS- very functional, looks easy to build, will work great for meat chickie and breeding pens and should fit in with DH's aesthetic requirements.
So does anyone put a sweep on the back of their tractors?
Maybe a piece of rubber tacked to the inside of the bottom of the back frame, the width of the tractor. It would kind of sweep young chicks to get them moving when you lift the tractor to move it. Just a suggestion.
I absloutely love the PVC tractors!!! can't wait to start building one this week and thanks for the link to the plans. I love the ideas BYCer's come up with Keep them coming.
