meaties in pvc tractor (pics)

We have a pretty big yard i wish we could just put a fence all around it and let them loose. there would be less mowing for me to do too.

Might be a pain to bring in at night though.
if i was to put a fence up, can anyone tell me what kind of fencing i would need?

I think you need quite more chickens per square foot that most casual flock owners have in order to keep your lawn trimmed. I still mow the area in which my 17 layers plus almost 20 11- week-old rangers roam.

when you reply to the forum, you will see a button that says Img - this will place coding in the area where your cursor is in the reply box. After this, you will simply place the URL of where the image is stored on the net, between the IMG coding set, If your image is not stored on the net, find a free image storage place like photobucket and load your files there. That is it!

hahahaha look out world I figured it out.

This is my grazing pen it is 8x14 built out of 2x4 full size rough cut I figured it weighs 300*+ lbs but moves easy if I was to build them again they would be a little different the bottoms would be full size but the tops could be 2x2

these are my wheels that cam the pen up and down for transport they are 8 in lawnmower wheels on all 4 corners they pin in the up right position which lift the pen 3 in off the ground

Nice looking tractor.

Did you make the pivots for the wheel shafts yourself or salvage them from something else?

Have you had any problems with wind? I would think that one end should have solid walls so the chicks could get relief from the wind, especially if you are using this set up in early spring or late fall.
