Meet my baby ducklings!! *Picture heavy*

I haven’t got to post my babies yet! They were due April 16, 2009 but one started pipping early on April 11, 2009! This was my very first time hatching anything, and I got 8 out of 9 ducks. The one pipped but died the next day and never made it out of its shell. My first duckling came April 12, 2009, on Easter day!! Four more were born April 13, 2009! Then just after midnight the final three were born on April 14, 2009! Out of the 9 I got three surprise ducklings! I was expecting all Pekins but got one Crested Pekin, and two mystery ducklings (sadly one of the mystery ducklings were the one who died). Here are my babies, sorry if the pics come out large!

Very cute! I laughed at the pictures of them swimming in the sink...it made me think of a vacation at a fancy hotel....

I just wanted to say you have a lovely bathroom, but ducklings usualy shouldnt be put in water that soon because they do not have there oil glands yet. In the wild mom preens them and gives them all the oils they need to be in the water. I was told they can be put in water at 1 week, and afterwards should be dryed very very well or they could get a cold.

aww....i remember when my 2 were real little...and now they are so big...my they grow so fast. It's my first time with ducks.

I'm northern Il.---40 min. from WI. and about 2 hrs west of Chicago...where might you be?
