I think I'll see if I can make it this year, I have to find a place to spend the night, as I don't think I can turn it into a day trip. Got SIL in Jackson, wonder if it isn't too far away. I may have lived in MI for 11 years but am still pretty clueless about some parts of the state. Have almost got Alpena figured out, but DH swears whenever I drive under a power line my brain resets and I get confused again. At least I no longer look at Lake Huron and say "oh look, there's the ocean."

Not my fault the biggest body of water east of me while growing up was the Atlantic!

I wonder if that is what happens to me???
When I first moved here DH would take me anywhere I needed to go, but he would take a different route every time. I am still trying to find my way around here

Are there basketball hoops in the park? I'm gonna have mine bring something along like a basketball, a baseball, a scooter......something they can use or share.

Since I have never been to a chicken stock event I was wondering if a Raffle would be possible? People could donate things or we could solicite donations from others and then sell tickets for a drawing to be held that afternoon. Any Ideas?
