Mille Cochin Info

OMG! I had to really look to see her! That is cool! And she is pretty!

Thanks! Got her from ki4got who breeds some beautiful Mille Fleur bantam Cochins

Millie belongs to my 9-year-old daughter and she is the sweetest pullet in the flock! We just adore her.

This is another roo I am watching. And there is that pullet again, Lynne.

I keep trying to get one with better breast flowers while getting better type. I've had great breast flowers while the type laced severely so I sold them. Not worth it to me.
I am seriously going to have to work on wing carriage this next year, though I haven't found too many to work with. My Mottleds have good wings but it isn't following through on breeding.
I read some silly forum that suggested the birds need to use their wings to strengthen them and help them carry them better. Not so on my birds. They fly up 4 ft several times a day, if not more like 10 times a day and I still see some with bad wing carriage. It is genetic but I can't seem to get it to stay.
You all know me..... why have great pattern if the type isn't there? I can create pattern, that wasn't hard but the type can give me fits! I feel wing carriage is escaping my breeding program and I have got to concentrate on that next year.

LOL but we've got 19 millie sibs in the brooders right now (plus 5 dorkings and 9 more unrelated cochins and 12 more eggs in the incubators), so he can take his pick once they're a bit bigger, if he chooses to. 8)

Y'all can come visit her - or maybe sometime when I'm bringing you SFH eggs I'll bring her along for the ride. Just won't want to throw her off laying by making her my travel companion too often - LOL! She's the sweetest little thing, and she's getting quite pretty!
