Washing a bird, you can use just plain dish soap, or I use Dreft or Ivory Snow but that is for show birds. For the foot, you can mix a pasty concoction of sugar and betadine and slather it all over the wound. It is supposed to draw out the infection. Use gauze and vet wrap to dress it. You will want to do this daily for the quickest healing. Once it looks like the pus is cleared up, use the Neosporin and wrap. Her foot looked better but has lots of healing to go. We put new cream and bandages on. She is still pretty smelly though. is there something i can bathe her in to get the funk out? we have washed off as much poo as we can and trimmed some of the butt fluff but still.. pew! dish soap? shampoo of some kind?
For wrapping, it is easiest to cut the vet wrap into 1/2-3/4" wide strips (the long way from the roll, not across), and get it wrapped so that the gauze and wound are covered and not getting poop in under the dressing.
