glad you are out of the hospital, and good that no surgery was needed. Keep feeling better!I go there before group rides sometimes. Old 7 to Shepards Road is a great way out of town. Great place to eat. I really like the back patio.
Loss is alwaya hard. Sorry to hear about this.
Sounds like you are getting it all done. Not I. I haven't bought a thing and now i am just getting out of the hospital for a small bowel obstruction. All is good now.

So Goldie must be doing well?
Really?? How great is that!! So much fun! Plus a total pita. Hope the build goes smooth without hidden costs.
Didn't you just put a new floor in?
Goldie, pretty much the same. I spent some time with her this morning, rigged up a little xmas bulb light because it is so dim in there when it is dreary outside. She ate a good handful of mealworms, but did not want to come out of her cage. Tonight, I went to feed her more mealworms and some of the hens were starting to roost, and boy did she want out - clucking and pacing, etc.
I'm considering partitioning off a section with chicken wire on sunday so she can have more room and get more exercise. I could probably rig up a low roost for her as well. I'm guessing she has another 2 weeks at least before she can rejoin the flock. maybe more, I know some have had hens with dog injuries take 3 months.
You have them in a roaster? is the top open for air/ventilation?
It has a vent ....maybe I need to crack it open by putting a pencil or something under the lid. I have cats and no where is safe. Right now it is on the floor under a table wedged so the cats can't get to it. I guess I could keep it in the bathtub.....
The beetles can't fly, it is ok![]()
Hmmm, shouldn't be dying off, maybe a few, but not alot. is it warm in your house? they like it warm. I give mine slices of apple every 2 or 3 days for moisture.
Sorry you had to be in the hospital, glad you are out and feeling better!
I was just going to say that![]()
It is 62-68. If that isn't warm enough, I would probably package them up and stick them in the fridge. They have potatoe in there, strange how much they eat! I still haven't had time to google mealworm culture
I still have sooo much to do before tomorrow night, am hosting a gathering.
