Minnesota!

I go there before group rides sometimes. Old 7 to Shepards Road is a great way out of town. Great place to eat. I really like the back patio.
Loss is alwaya hard. Sorry to hear about this.
Sounds like you are getting it all done. Not I. I haven't bought a thing and now i am just getting out of the hospital for a small bowel obstruction. All is good now.

No surgery was needed.
So Goldie must be doing well?
Really?? How great is that!! So much fun! Plus a total pita. Hope the build goes smooth without hidden costs.
Didn't you just put a new floor in?
glad you are out of the hospital, and good that no surgery was needed. Keep feeling better!

Goldie, pretty much the same. I spent some time with her this morning, rigged up a little xmas bulb light because it is so dim in there when it is dreary outside. She ate a good handful of mealworms, but did not want to come out of her cage. Tonight, I went to feed her more mealworms and some of the hens were starting to roost, and boy did she want out - clucking and pacing, etc.

I'm considering partitioning off a section with chicken wire on sunday so she can have more room and get more exercise. I could probably rig up a low roost for her as well. I'm guessing she has another 2 weeks at least before she can rejoin the flock. maybe more, I know some have had hens with dog injuries take 3 months.

You have them in a roaster? is the top open for air/ventilation?

It has a vent ....maybe I need to crack it open by putting a pencil or something under the lid. I have cats and no where is safe. Right now it is on the floor under a table wedged so the cats can't get to it. I guess I could keep it in the bathtub.....
The beetles can't fly, it is ok

Hmmm, shouldn't be dying off, maybe a few, but not alot. is it warm in your house? they like it warm. I give mine slices of apple every 2 or 3 days for moisture.

Sorry you had to be in the hospital, glad you are out and feeling better!

I was just going to say that

It is 62-68. If that isn't warm enough, I would probably package them up and stick them in the fridge. They have potatoe in there, strange how much they eat! I still haven't had time to google mealworm culture

I still have sooo much to do before tomorrow night, am hosting a gathering.

yowzer.  thats a lot of eggs.  are you still selling them?

and how are the toys coming ? pics?  or maybe you are so busy there is no time for pics :(

We sure are! Sales are doing ok. We sold at a local market the other weekend. Got a few new customers on our site.

We actually had our Christmas gathering last weekend and I gave the toys! I regret not taking end photos of the wrenches and tool totes. I will get my brother to send me a photo.

The jewelry boxes are almost done for my nieces. The flocking came yesterday (that is the velvety stuff for the inside) those are going to be for their birthdays in January.

I have been day dreaming of my garden for next year. Preparing and planning what I will plant.

Definitely get pics of the jewelery boxes.

the garden catalogs are dribbling in.....I can't even look at them. they go in the basket for January.

I've cut way back on gardening in the past couple of years. Now I just do beans, peas, kale, tomatoes, garlic, squash, pumpkins, basil, potatoes, radishes, brussel sprouts and herbs. Have a small asparagus patch, strawberries, grapes, raspberries, and tons of wild strawberries and wild blackberries.

I am going to replant apple trees, the ones I had drowned a few years back when we had so much rain for so many days, they were in standing water for a month.
