Missing Toenail?

We just got back from a week of camping (our neighbors have been taking care of the chickens), and we realized last night that our silkie, Myrtle, is missing a toenail! The whole thing just kind of came off, I guess. There is a very small scab and we have not seen any blood. It doesn't seem to bother her at all, as far as we can tell.
Is there anything we should do to help her? She's still young, only a few months, will it grow back? Is there anything else I should know about it?

Thanks in advance! We are still relatively new to chickens, so any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

The longer a chicken lives, the more toenails they are destined to have to live without, which they do with no problem. I have an eleven-year old Brahma hen that has maybe one toenail left, counting both feet.

I had a baby chick just recently with a toe injury at one day old, and a month later, the nail fell off. It's quite common, and usually causes no problems unless it's a hang-nail, and those hurt just as much for chickens as they do humans.

No need to do anything now, but if you ever have a chicken with a torn nail and they do bleed, you will need to snip it the rest of the way off.

Thank you very much! I was informed that her nail got bent and then eventually fell off last night, had I known this last night I would have taken care of it. I figured now if she wasn't in pain that I didn't need to do anything except keep an eye on it. I appreciate the information!
