An updated photo of my little chipmunk colored chick, he/she is changing on a regular basis as the feathers come in. Anyone want to take a guess on gender? I'm starting to lean towards pullet.

A few others that hatched in the last couple of weeks
This one started out with a black body and copper colored head

Started as a typical buff colored chick, but appears to be developing mottling. Which is possible, the suspected dad is half Jublie Orpington and one of the possible mom's is also.

Lovely babies! I would say #1 is almost definitely a female!!!

Here are two "mutts" that I have from the NYD Hatch-A-Long.

Daddy is a Naked Neck and moms are some OEG/LF cross. The hens I have are a Birchen, a Silver Penciled, a Blue and a Crested Salmon breasted. If these should turn out to be pullets they will go to my mix breed flock.

Looking good....I really like blondie with the black spot!

ZOMBIE! ! Lol so I'm gonna post my hen list could you guys recommend a good roo breed? Personality is a huge thing and I'm thinking faverolle for their reputation and looks. Any ideas on what the babies would look like?? Also does anyone here have a faverolle roo they'd sell me?

Buff orp
Barred rock
Black Australorp
BLRW
RIR
Maybe a black or red sex link

More updates on my pullet :) She still looks a lot like my Rhodebar pullets. In the first photo the bird in the lower right and the bird behind her head are both Silkie/Ameracauna crosses. Which I guess makes them EE's :) I have 4, 2 are going to be LF and 2 are going to be bantam.

These two are Orpington mixes. The assumed parents are both Jubilee / Buff Orpington crosses, it looks like the Jubilee genetics lined up, at least enough to get mottling. I keep getting buff chicks with white spots but they loose the spots around 8-12 weeks, it looks like these two might keep their spots.
