i saw a fox yesterday at about 12:30pm I walked over to the fence and began shouting curses at it loud, my poor neighbours must think I’m totally nuts! It turned and looked at me so then before I went out I put my hens away

It's definitely neither Mary's nor Janet's. It looks like one of Peggy's except it's a little larger than she usually lays. Could it be Ivy's first egg? I'll watch closely tomorrow and see what happens.

It's one thing I couldn't help noticing about horses; they're a long way up!

I have long had that thought about horses. They are beautiful creatures but way too high up for me - the thought of riding one terrifies me!

I have long had that thought about horses. They are beautiful creatures but way too high up for me - the thought of riding one terrifies me!

Mary has put a smile on my face

She was taking her morning sips and it made her so happy, she scampered across the yard to join her friends. It's not often she turns her mind and legs to scampering because she's such a heavy lady, she ordinarily moves with great decorum at a very sedate and stately pace.

You must have added something very nice to the water
