There was such a bookstore in Bethlehem, PA for like 100 years (since sold, sadly). It was several connected row-houses of wall-to-wall books and also unique gift and decorative items, and a quaint and beautiful eating area. They served pastries, various things like English scones, etc., soups, sandwiches, coffees and teas. One could eat in a small dining area, or they also had little bistro tables along the walls and through a glass and stone walkway with green growing foliage and flowers, and browse through your books and whatever. There is a bookshop in a quiet leafy suburb of Brisbane that is almost like that. A friend, who knows Brisbane really well, took me & it was lovely. They had a little verandah out the back where you could sip coffee while browsing the books you might buy 0verlooking the garden & because it was high out across Brisbane proper. It was small but very popular.
People loved it. I loved it.
MJ’s little tea shop would be like this.
