I just realized that after the judging this will all be over and you guys won't be posting anymore. I'll miss you guys. Sure you will continue posting on other threads but we won't be together again. Oh no.

you trouble maker you got me into this, the prizes are fine, the postage not so much. Why don't you throw a contest?

OFFICIAL MODEL CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT - TA DAH!! JUDGEMENT DAY HAS BEEN MOVED UP TO THURSDAY MARCH 10 , 2011. Winners will be announced in this thread tomorrow. I will be contacting prize winners(1st. thru 3rd) one by one, in order that they may choose their prize (as per rules/regulations in post 1) Also: I will need full mailing address of each winner - hope to get prizes to the post office on Monday if winners provide info. by that date. At ease.

KFChicken lady - maybe YOU could have a Model Chicken contest, and people can make them out of marshmellows (no Rhodda peeps allowed), fabric, wood, soap, teak, ivory, brillo pad carvings. , or even drawings. Sounds like fun to me ONLY IF you judge and organize it.

Model coop winners will be announced earlier due to the fact that while QUALITY entries are high, QUANTITY is low. At start I guessed that entry might be 25, or tops 50 entries, considering BYC has 80,000 or so members. I know we didn't get max exposure and stickies because we are not a BYC officially executed contest. But I feel the participants would have been singled out in any such contest.

The entries trickling in afforded me extra time to peruse each and every one of them, I had tentative winners in mind - then came the onslaught of moreentries in just under deadline. This brought about a shuffling of the deck with three entries duking it out for first - they are that close - any of the three would be be a great first prize but alas can only award one, the title. I am retiring to my judging chambers till tomorrow.

OK--I have a suggestion if you all want to still be "friends" on here...we could all each run a contest! We could each decide what kind of contest we wanted to judge and then run them one at a time. New people could always join our limited group and then we would never run out of contests theoretically. Thinking on my feet now...maybe if there was a specific contest that you did not care to participate in you could help the one running it to judge it? (that might be fun) THis kids of contests are really limited only to our imaginations...and we already know that we all have fantastic imaginations! WHat do you think? Terri O
