The care varies widely on what species you have and what state are you in. You're going to want to figure this out first. We really can't help unless we know what you're dealing with. Yes we can tell you to feed and water them but really getting into the nitty gritty is hard without knowing what you have.
Long term care is also going to vary based on your goals. Are you raising them for meat, breeding, pets, eggs? Coturnix quail for example you can easily grow out together but as they mature you can only have one male per group. But then like button quails you need them separated even more.
