Well we're right on the coast so it does get very windy; but we're building a walled garden, so they could live there. I heard that guinea pigs shouldn't eat seeds, is that true?

Don't build a wall, that'll make the wind stronger when it hits your garden. You want to look into growning evergreen hedges - because the leaves slow the wind and calm it down. :p
We built a 6ft fence and that was a terrible idea. The garden gets trashed every Autumn, because of all the wind. )-)

And, they shouldn't eat apple seeds. But I've not really heard much about other seeds. :p

No a walled garden, as in we're going to be digging down a foot or two and then building the four stone walls a foot or two higher. There is a walled garden near to us that grows fruit and veg very successfully :) We're also going to be planting as many trees and bushes on our land as possible.

Oh, yeah, that's pretty cool. XD
We grew a ton of trees and shrubs in our garden. *-*

The south coast, I.e Cornwall, is beautiful. You can grow palm trees and bananas. But here we are literally right on the coast. There is a beach right next to our house, and no trees grow here :(
